Rahul Rajput Murder: The Whole Matter
A 19-year-old Delhi University student killed by his Muslim girlfriend's brothers on October 7 in Delhi NCR. In a recent talk with the girl, she says it is a pre-planned murder by her brothers.
Rahul and the girl have known each other for more than two years and the girl sometimes used to come home to meet him. The girl was known to Rahul's family and family didn't have any problem with their relationship. So that's why when Rahul was beaten by the girl's brother she came straight to Rahul's mother.
The Whole Matter
Some days before the murder, Rahul and the girl came home when the girl's hands were bleeding. Rahul closed the matter saying they met with a minor accident. The evening of 7 October around 6 o'clock, Girl's cousin calls saying he wants to talk to rahul on phone and was unable to do so. She described that Rahul doesn't own a phone anymore as his mother sold the previous one. He asks for another number of Rahul's family and the girl gives it to him. Her cousin finally talks to Rahul saying he wants to meet for tuition as rahul gives tuition. Rahul asks his girlfriend whether to go or not she says it's a matter of five minutes let's go. The cousin arrives at the spot and starts hitting Rahul. The girl tries to save Rahul but could not save him. Rahul was badly injured after the beating so he was taken to the BJRM hospital but Rahul didn't make it.
The Culprits
In the list of culprits, two of Girl's brothers naming Mohd. Raj and Manwar Hussain and three minor friends of the two. Recent Updates, This Saturday, on Oct 10, the two brothers are under arrest and the remaining minors are apprehended.
Muslim family (girl's side)
The news is confirmed by the DCP Vijayanta Arya that The family was always against of the relationship with the Hindu guy and wanted their daughter to not be in touch with him. Now, when the media questioned the Muslim girl she quotes it as a planned murder. Subsequently, The family is thirsty for her blood because she is giving statements against them.
Hindu family (Rahul)
Rahul's mother was never bothered by the relationship and never had any problem with her religion. She said in a media contact that she just wanted her son to concentrate on his study as he wanted to crack IAS exam.
The case has taken a different turn as people are saying if it was a Hindu in the place of culprits and he would have killed a Muslim woman, the case would have been a major headline. What I believe on this issue is that "A murder is a murder irrespective of the cast, gender or social standard. So, we should never let these things come between the law and justice. Hope these culprits soon get what they deserve.
